The 1000 years reign of Christ is for the people who have been resurrected and who while alive before have not come to know about him and his father, Jehovah. It is also for people who have not shown their faith but has known Jehovah for a short time, for those whose heart Jehovah knows believes in him. During Jesus' reign as king, the 'meek' ones who have inherited the earth (Matthew 5:5, Psalm 37:11) will help in building it into a paradise as it was during Adam'S beginning.
Those meek ones (or great crowd in Rev. 7:9) will also help in letting those resurrected know about God. During these years, Satan is nowhere in sight.

Christians are already rewarded prior to the 1000 yrs & they rule the earth together with Jesus for that millenium.

It will take 1000 years to cleanse the earth for rehabitation.
