Some people do manage to sneeze with their eyes open and don't loose there eyeballs. Eye sockets are made of bone, they aren't connected to the nasal passages, and there are no muscles behind the eyes that contracts when you sneeze, so there's really no mechanism involved in a sneeze that could force your eyes out of their sockets, Even if there were, human eyelids aren't particularly strong, so simply closing your eyes during a sneeze wouldn't be sufficient to keep them in their sockets if a sneeze truly had enough power to dislodge them.

I think the fact that our face tightens up, its not possible for your eyes to be open in the first place. I could be wrong...I never thought about it before although I seriously doubt your eyes would pop out. Ask your teacher where he/she got this info. I'm curious myself now.

You teacher is trying to feed you a load of BS. It isn't possible to sneeze your eyes out,...like saying you can cry your eyes out. I don't even know if it is possible to sneeze with your eyes open....This may be one for the MYTHbusters lol

Your teacher is just trying to scare you. Tell her to show you one case where that happened. By the way, it is impossible to sneeze with your eyes open.

No. The eyes are firmly fixed in the sockets, each held in place by 6 muscles surrounding the eye, connective tissue and the optic nerve.

Impossible, because the eye is firmly held in place in the eye socket with muscles and ligaments, like the rest of your connective tissues.

It's like asking if God exists.
No one knows.

You can't sneeze with your eyes open, unless they're taped/forced open.

If you'd like to use yourself as a lab rat, I say go for it.
