Why do some mant people think that muslims are terriosts?

Not every muslims are bad people. Im a muslim myself.

1.5 billion Muslims less than 1% are extremists. People don't understand Islam and think because certain people committed acts and they are of this faith that our faith supports them and stands for that. The media feeds them this message daily and people who don't use there brain believe it. Muslims know the truth and Allah knows the truth and in the end Insha Allah that's all that matters.

People who don't understand Islam look at a lot of the ideas that are strange to westerners, and in many ways counter to our pluralistic values. Then we see the way in which some middle-eastern Muslims have behaved in their way of attacking Israel, and later in Iraq, and when we combine the oddness of Muslim thinking with the repeated stories of suicide bombers, it becomes difficult to separate the two.

It is incumbent on Muslims to reach out, to develop speakers bureaus to visit churches. Only by engaging in a dialogue can Christians and others come to understand that Muslims are not by nature violent.

By way of another example, there was one Muslim Pakistani Doctor on here yesterday who was criticizing the language of one of the American women, primarily because she was a woman. This does not fly with westerners. Women have the exact same ways of expressing themselves here as do men.

Such criticisms, given the already tense relations, scare westerners that Muslims will oppress us if you could, and that Muslims want to subdue us with military force.

Its not that all muslims are terrorists. However, you must admit that the vast majority of terrorists are muslims. A couple of things also do not help the muslim cause. The photos of muslims cheering in the middle east when the twin towers went down do no help their cause at all. That and Osama Bin Laden.

People do this out of narrow-minded prejudices. Don't waste your time on people that have so little respect for different cultures that they would say things like " Ooohp, looks like another one of your cousins blew themselves up...."
Another reason is religion. Certain sects of Christianity are as much a group of Extremeists as the Muslim Extremeists. And so to them, this is a chance to defame Islam, and attempt to attract more followers. "look at us, we don't blow ourselves up in the streets, follow us"...... But if you look at their history, in some cases, Christians have commited greater attrocities in the name of their God, than just about any other religion.
I guess it boils down to stupidity, prejudice, hatred, and in some cases, just plain inabiltiy to think for themselves.... But don't worry about it. Let them be hateful, let them corrupt themselves all they want, they are the ones that will ultimately self destruct.....

People don't think Muslin's are terrorists in the main but you must admit the ones that strap explosives around themselves and blow themselves up so as to kill as many people as possible are doing a good job of imitating terrorists. They are the people every one is against not law abiding Muslin's like yourself.

on the other hand , i wonder do they consider what they done to iraq terrorism ?
more than 100 000 innocent iraqi were killed for a false war

i dont kno theyre just defending their countries from israel.israel shoudnt even be invading countries in the first place.jihad and alqaida are terrorist organizations but hizbollah never killed innocent people..if u say they are,the last war killed more than 1400 lebanese people, more than 30%are children while hizbollah killed 150 israelians abt 60% of them are soldiers, now u see who are the terrorists.and by the way i live in lebanon and i kno all hizbollah weapons, normal katyushas fire with no targets, but the one hizbollah has is precise, so hizbollah doesnt kill innocent people

I agree with you. I'm a Jewish/Christian and I have a very dear friend who is Muslim.

People who think that all Muslims are terrorists, are ignorant.
