Unless you need the crib or he was climbing out of it, put it back up. Try again in a few months and make a big deal about it. Let him take a nap on your bed so he can get use to sleeping in a bed.

The child will get used to it after awhile. explain to him that he needs to sleep into his new bed and tell him that he will be a big kid if he does. Every kid wants to be a big kid. If he still rejects to it. Let him cry 1 night and have him sleep in it and when he wakes up the next morning, reward him with his favorite breakfast. Move the crib out of the room or out of sight.

For my daughter, I dressed up the bed in her favorite cartoon at the time which was Dora. I put lots of pillows on the bed and made her room really fun. SHE LOVED IT! Good Luck!

You should have started this process a little bit earlier but since that time has passed I would suggest letting him fall asleep first and then once he's sleeping, put him into his own bed.

Just let him cry. He will get used to the bed in time.
