You should always use a moisturizer on your face, no matter what type of skin you have. An oil-free moisturizer will work best for you. What I would do is wash your face with a mild cleanser, nothing harsh, at night to remove your makeup. Apply a thin layer of oil-free moisturizer before you go to bed. In the morning, splash your face with water and apply your makeup. Washing your face too often will actually make your face even more oily. Some products that I would recommend are Cetaphil face wash and Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer, both sold at drugstores.

I also have oily skin and sometimes have to use a moisturizer because I get dry patches in the winter.Using a moisturizer that is light and for your face is best it will keep your skin from producing more oil in those areas and should not make your face break out any worse if at all.

um... I wouldn't wear baby powder on your face, it'll cake and leave a residue (yuck) but even if you do have oily skin, its REALLY important to wear a moisturizer. I have pretty oily skin and my absolute favorite is Kielh's Sodium PCA Oil-Free Moisturizer. I've used it for years and even got one of my guy friends to start using it. Its great!
As far as oil control during the day, if needed, just use those oil blotting sheets you can get at the drug store. Good Luck!

no it will not.
moisturizer makes your face have a natural glow if you apply it right.

what you do is you mix the same amount of foundation and an oil free moisturizer together. apply it with a sponge.[it helps keep it even.]
use powder that matches your skin tone.
take a blush brush[the bigger the better. the smaller it is, the streakier the color is] and dust your face with the powder. powder makes your face look less oily and reduces the shine.

I have had oily skin my whole life and that is quite a while. I use Phisoderm morning and night. It gets rid of the oil but it also kills the bacteria that cause blemishes. Give up the makeup and give your skin a break. You are beautiful just the way God made you.

try using baby powder because it kepps the skin from being oily but the skin still has moister. If you don tput powder on before you put the make-up you will look like you just ran a hundred yard dash because make-up is made of oil so you see how it wouldn't feel good.

If you have problems with break-outs, one product that worked extremely well for my son was called "Nature's Cure." We had tried everything... and were actually shocked when it ended up clearing up his skin (it's a safe herb combination - check it out with his doctor). Otherwise, I'd not add a moisturizer under your make-up - you don't need it yet.
