Perhaps because they actually do have a devil up their nose :) It is amazing that people who know nothing about Islam, like some of the respondents to your question, take it upon themselves to defend it and in the next breath attack Christianity. I think they need to live in the Middle East for at least a couple of months so that they can get some perspective.

Cayleen, understands this doesn't mean that Satan is literally in your nose rather it means he close enough to influence you should you stay in a pure form like the Prophet said.
This is a hadith, so a saying of the Prophet we have to understand what he meant by this was not literal.
And hadiths are not part of Qu'ran for anyone who may think so.

Do morons believe they can understand a hadith:
1) without knowing its context
2) without knowing its ruling
3) reading it in translation not its original language
4) taking that translation literally ?
