seriously, has anyone found out how many licks it takes to get to the center?

YES believe it or not. i have no life
and i tried like 10 times [my tounge got really swollen lol]
okay it takes about 300-400 licks. I did the licks a year or 2 ago but i still remember. all came out different but they were all in the 300/400 lick range.

It depends on whether or not you bite along the way. Also, not everyone licks the same, and the middle isn't the same distance from the surface throughout the pop, so it depends on where you start. Personally, I pull the Tootsie Roll Pop off of the stick and just suck on it in my mouth.

I was going to do a science fair project but didnt. The tootsie roll company has a website that tells you exactly how many. They have gone through many tests. The number of licks is 144 with human lickers and 411 with a machine.

Average of 364 licks, though some count anywhere from 100 to 5800.

certainly my pal and that i've got been relatively bored sometime, so we've been given a tootsie pop and counted all the licks. it took 3,913 licks to get to the middle. what a large hour and nil.5...

I tried that once and got 105 ♥ lol jk I almsot did it but i got bored♥ BUt the average is 457.

its truely based on how big ur toung is and your production of saliva until we average that we might never know it took me 181 licks by the way
