Get AVG Free Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware. Two awesome programs that I use. Also get Spybot, another good program.

One I highly recommend, it's free, and has updates when needed (not to mention quite a few people here have suggested it) is "Spybot Search And Destroy" It's reliable.

This is how I find a lot of my programs. While most there are shareware, or free to try, there are "FREE" programs also. Just do an advanced search to easily find those.
