I have not been eatin any wheat or gluten for six weeks and feel loads better. Now I want to find whether it is wheat only or all gluten that I am intolerant of and which foods will let you know most effictively.

Oooh...you sure you want to do that? It's not fun at all! Trust me on that one. I made the mistake of double checking and I had a much worse reaction than I used to. I've never done it again and have been much better living on the gluten free diet. My dr. went ahead and gave me the blood test for celiac disease and I was positive. Trust me, after you've been off the wheat and gluten for awhile....don't go back, just trust your body and stay gluten free.

for 2 days try a wheat free gluten food then nothing for three then try a gluten free wheat food for a couple days and see how you feel after each experiment . If you feel bad while on one or the other then you will know which you are allergic to. Or you could go ask your doctor

If you go to http://www.glutenfreeforum.com there are lots of people there with classic celiac, gluten intolerance, gluten sensitivity, wheat sensitivitity, wheat allergies, and other wheat and gluten-related issues.

There are over 12 thousand registered members, so there are usually at least a few people who have similar issues or are looking (or have found) for similar answers.

gluten is the protein in wheat (and several other foods) that celiac's are allergic to. I've never heard of an allergy to wheat that wasn't a allergy to gluten. my dad has celiac's disease.

Sounds like you've figured it out for yourself... are you sure you want to test it?

The best foods would be pasta, whole wheat bread... followed by a beer.

Gluten-free isn't that bad. You get used to it.
