Most definitely. You can be a Christian and go to an unbiblical church. Make sure that your church's principles agree with the Bible's. You don't want them to differ. Look for good things such as church discipline, preaching from the Word of God, and things like that.

Dear bethybug,

The church age ended in 1988. The Holy Spirit is present there, so that no one can be saved regardless of the accuracy of the preaching (2 Thessalonians 2). The period of time we are in is called the great Tribulation and it precedes the return of the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 24). When He comes it will mark the end of the world and judgment day. If you have not been saved, then you'll spend eternity under the wrath of God paying for your sins.
Bethy there is nothing you can do to get yourself saved. However, if God intends to to save you it will occur in the environment of the word of God. My recommendation is that you read the Bible slowly and prayerfully asking the Lord to have mercy on you. Listen to the Bible being read if you can. Let the Lord know that you desire to be His child but you realize that your a sinner.

I don't even think it's required that you worship God, or that one even belongs to a church. The importance is the belief in God or a higher power that lets you access that power, the intelligence that follows.

I think there are different levels of people who believe in god. Those that need constant reminders to be good people, and those that need something to believe in. If you are the latter, no worries. If you are in need of being told how to act and think by all means church is the place for you. I feel that religion is what you make of it. I personally have developed a belief that there is no "almighty being" through years of studying contradictory doctrine within, and between religions. As long as you are a "good" person you have nothing to worry about. It's all about energy, the more good you put forth, the more good you receive

the ultimate answer is beliefs, as long as you have some beliefs, no matter what they are, it doesnt matter if you belong to a church or not, and it is each persons opinion to which god if any they want to believe in. Many people feel churches mis-construe the entire idea of belonging to an organized religion anyways. In my own personal opinion, it is more important to have beliefs than label yourself with a title.

So, if a person denies the Messiah came the first time, because he didn't bring about Armageddon and the destruction of their enemies (false religion), it is okay?

If a person denies the Messiah came the second time, because he didn't bring about Armageddon and the destruction of their enemies (false religion), it is okay?

How about a church that worships God, but says that it doesn't matter what your sins are, even against children, as long as you ask for forgiveness just before your death?

I would place emphasis on how one worships God - anywhere. What I mean by that is, it doesn't matter what the sign over the door says, per se. What truly matters is: are you worshiping God the way He prescribes to be worshiped in His Word? In other words, are you worshiping Him in Spirit and in truth? That's how the Father wants to be worshiped.

"But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him." (John 4:23)

GOD is to big to be in only one place and the only major differences in one Religion and another are the differences in the Rituals and Ceremonies used to Adore, Honor, Worship, Pray to and Petition, Thank, Etc. Etc. GOD.

for me it doesnt matter which church you belong so as long as you worship God.

I have attended worships and gathering with different religion basically we worship a God who is the ruler of our world.

so as long as you respect other people views with their religion and you dont act rude or boastful that you are a part of that religion so as long as you value other people and inspire other people....

I think that's what really matters
