The PC illegal loving crowd are getting a bit desperate,me thinks.

Tonatiuh, did you say one illegal Irish bartender? LOL! I'm against all illegals,no matter where they are from. But Mr PC,the great majority of illegals do come from Mexico. And that is a fact even if you can't deal with it. I'm not against legal immigration. Amnesty is a slap in the face to all those who go thru the proper channels. Why should illegals get special treatment? They are law breakers from the get go.

Playing the race card is an idiomatic phrase, referring to an allegation raised against a person who, the accuser feels, has unnecessarily brought the issue of race or racism into a debate so as to obfuscate the matter. It is a metaphorical reference to card games in which a trump card may be used to gain an advantage. The allegation tends to stir up controversy.

The phrase is used in two contexts. In the first, and more common, context, it alleges that someone has falsely accused another person of being a racist in order to gain some sort of advantage.

In the second context, it refers to someone exploiting prejudice against another race for political or some other advantage.

The playing of the race card is designed to stop intelligent dialog and put the other person on the defensive, thus effectively shutting down the debate so that the other person feels obligated to defend himself against the race card players accusation.
Its a often used tactic and until the debater learns to ignore this racial attack it will continue to stall the debate.I personally ignore it because I know why its being used. Its because the other person doesn't have a viable argument and had to pull out the race card.Just press on,ignore it......I do

To the poster above,I see just as much racism and name calling done by both sides. Its not just said by antis its said by the pros and this nation and legal Americans get insulted by Latinos every day. Then you have nuts like that "proud American " that hurls insults to all Hispanics. It goes both ways Dont try to say it only comes from the anti illegal group. Both sides are guilty.

Have you noticed how the illegals and the pros have about two word vocbularies when they speak up for themselves? I just figured it was that they couldn't speak English, but I'm starting to think that it's more they don't have anything to say.
Name calling, fould hand singals and criminality. They will do all they can to corrupt this site in any number of ways.
In answer directly to your ques. I don't think they are getting desperate. They are anxious like the rest of us. I don't see how the US leaders can do anything but make a mistake ...no matter what they do. It's gonna be all Hell breaking loose.
That's what happens when you don't obey the law. You pay. AMerica and all it's happy new, unwanted friends ...are going to take a hit of some kind. Sad but true.
You'd think our leaders would have learned by now.

I think all illegal immigrants, no matter where they came from, should be rounded up and sent back to their homeland. If they want to live here let them go about it in a legal manner. Make it a federal offense to enter this country illegally. Take away their access to free schools, welfare and food stamps. Give American citizens everything they deserve, like insurance, and send the illegals back where they came from. Sound harsh? Oh, well!!!

People have called me racist since I think the illegals are criminals. I'm not. They are breaking the law so they are criminals. Deport them and their anchor babies.

I loved the day they called "A day without a Mexican" last May. It was great!!! We don't need them. People were driving 75mph during rush hour in Los Angeles!!!!!

Methinks thou art correct. One of those kind got my very reasonable answer jettisoned. Talk about closed minds. Seriously, they have been calling non-racists such as ourselves the "R" word believing that it hurts. For many, it does, but they are waking up to the fact that American's by and large do not think about or see race anymore. We have been through all that and the right thing has been done and is part of the Constitituion and Bill of Rights. It is sad to see the activists sweating but then that is where they have driven themselves.

I am sick and tired of ALL the lame arguments they use....

Perhaps WE should take to the streets and burn an effigy of those who are NOT listening to us.

Perhaps those who have been victimized by ILLEGALS should file suit against their state government and the federal government for failure to enforce the laws.

Please...to be even more informed of the dangers illegals bring, read my sources.

i agree with you, immigration is NOT a racial issue!! there are illegal immigrants here from different countries which cover different racial ethnicity's. immigration is a legal issue, that has nothing to do with race at all. the race card is being played because it gets alot of attention.
