As I have said so many times before...give your med's about 2 weeks...if no change then consult with your doc asap and let him/her know that you would like to try something else. Sometime the dosage is too low and you will need to increase it over 30 day increments. I've tried many med's for my panic attacks but please remember that we are all different when it comes to how one person reacts to a medicine versus how you do.
Hang in there...there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Antidepressants, used for panic attacks as well, take 2-4 weeks to work , if they are going to work. I understand Zoloft not to be one of the greatest for this type of problem, and the withdrawls once on it for months to be horrific(comming from an aquaintance). Usually it is trial and error before finding the right one for you. Not unusual to try 2-3 different meds before finding the right for you, if your body can tolerate the side effects. But, some do have success with this, it is not a quick fix solution. Good luck.

how long have you been taking the Zoloft? For reducing panic attack / anxiety symptoms, the med can take several weeks. If you are just beginning the med, you should be able to ask your doctor for a temporary prescription for ativan or xanax to help while the Zoloft begins to work. I am taking Zoloft and have been for 2 years now and it has worked very well for my anxiety. Good Luck.

You probably haven't been taking it long enough
Zoloft will calm you down, but you need to see a therapist to learn certain tools to deal with the Panic Attacks too

Zoloft takes time to work it's way into your system. if you've just recently started using it, be patient. ( i understand telling a person experiencing panic attacks to be patient is asking alot) it could take a couple of weeks before you notice any change. i did help me.

Same here, I was put on zoloft for numerous reasons, and after a while I still had nothing going on with the meds, I stopped taking them, they gave me headachs and made me sweat, even though I was cold, I was shaky and very uncomfortable...ugh.

You may not be at a high enough dose yet. It is a rather slow process of fine tuning. It takes a bit of time to work so you need to be patient and listin to your Dr.!
