Ok so I boiled the lobster, while it was boiling some with stuff came to the top, I need to know if I can just leave it in the pot with the water untill i eat it? can I reheat it there? I really dont know what to do. I think it was dead for 1 hour but it sucks to throw it out after paying that much money for them.
Thank you all

The white stuff is just a protein foam. Skim it off, it won't hurt you.

Don't leave the cooked lobster in the water, it will get soggy. take it out and pop it in the fridge.

When you reheat, Cut the lobster in half lengthwise, brush the meat with a little butter and garlic, and put it under the broiler for a few until it's warm and brown.

If it tastes bad, it was dead too long. If it tastes good, it's fine. Between the boiling and the oven, you will have killed any bacteria that might have found its way in.

Skim that off the top not edible usually impurities from lobster and don't leave the lobster in the pot either it will take on the water and the water will not make the lobster taste any better
ummmm where did u get it that you don't know if it was dead ? you should have brought it back to the store some lobsters don't move much some move alot depends on temps
and BTW most stores will steam your lobster for free (depending on where you live ) which is the best way to go especially if you don't know how to cook one
and honestly the most humane way to boil a lobster is to put it in the freezer for half an hour so it "deep sleeps" pull it out just as the water comes to a boil and put it in so it realtively feels no pain
but I am not all that sure, being that I am not a lobster ..lol

dont reheat it, leave it in the water while the water cools. if its so long that it goes cold, serve with a sauce that you pour onto the lobster (make sure the sauce is piping hot). this will make the lobster seem warm too and no one will know. go onto www.yummyfood.net for some great lobster recipes. try a white wine sauce with the lobster, topped with breadcrumbs then put under the grill (broiler if you're american) to brown. it will be fine and no one will be throwing up in the morning!
