Demonizing, are we? Listen to what he says. The plan is for a stable secular Iraqi government. It needn't even be strongly pro-western to meet our strategic goals. And there need be no conspiracy theories, popular as they are.
Look at a political map. Turkey. Afghanistan. Pakistan. Saudi Arabia. Qatar. Egypt. Israel. We have a good working relationship with all, even if we aren't always bosom buddies. Still looking at the map? Note how isolated Iran on the right and Syria on the left begin to look. Makes it more difficult, though obviously not impossible, to move arms, etc. from those two. And agencies like NSA and FBI do a lot of work on making the movement of electrons (financial transfers) difficult. It's another squeeze on terrorists. Not as flashy or satisfying as a shoot-out with Osama, but that's the way these things go in the modern world.

First of all, you're right. Saddam wasn't really a bad guy, just misunderstood. Sense the sarcasm yet? Why is it so hard for you tree-huggin' conspiracy theorists to believe that 1)the world is better off without him, 2) the middle east is a strategic necessity, and 3) millions of people, men, women and children alike THANK US ON A DAILY BASIS for giving them a sense of hope. Or was 9-11 a figment of your imagination? Perhaps the radical Islamic backing?
You can hate the war, but you have no right to hate the Warriors.
Not until you've worn the uniform.

Oil, and world domination.
The US is doing what the British Empire done several hundred years ago, with a few exceptions; the Brit Empire gave to nations and improved commerce, rather than destroy what little they had left, the Brit Empire went for nations capable of defending themselves, if they wish to resist, and people liked the Brit Empire.

They're not sure yet. They're deciding as we speak, or atleast that's what they said. Isn't that sad though? It's nearly 4 years after the invasion and they still don't have goals. They had WMDs goals, democracy goals, catching UBL goals, etc. . .And they failed in all categories.
