i'm writing a story called "the love of the antichrist" (i got the idea from a history channel documentary) and i have a character who is part cherokee, and i was just wondering if maybe they had something similar to an antichrist.

well not an EXACT antichrist, i get it that no christ no antichrist, but an equivalent. someone who'll bring about the bad end of the world.

I doubt it.

The Anti-Christ is a very Mathematical concept. When Revelations was written, people were learning about corresponding opposites, like how if two lines intersect, each angle has an opposite angle on the other side.

So, if people were following a "Christ," it would be very easy to imagine an "Anti-Christ" as well.

I don't believe the Native Americans had the same kind of mathematical understanding, and probably did not need to pursue it.

Probably not among the Cherokee. The western Indians have Coyote as the prankster. I'm not certain what Cherokee eschatology would look like. I imagine it looked like a white man coming to drive them out of the southeast to Oklahoma.

how could they,christianity was introduced to them in the 16th century long after their religious practices which go back thousands of years.
