i mean children believe in bogeyman and adults in satan isn`t it the same old sh!t?

I still believe in the bogeyman. Satan is just an added pleasure to a life of being tortured by those in control over you. Add the Anti Christ and a few others and we all live in a wonderful world of loving gods with love and joy in their hearts.

Yes, pretty much. Both are created to keep us in line. On the other hand, the bogeyman has a pretty simple creation story with one simple motive (scaring kids) and Satan was created over millenia with countless motivations, conscious and subconscious. Read "The Genealogy of Morality" by Nietzsche.

Who says that kids don't believe in Satan? I did my whole childhood! And yes, there is a huge difference. Satan was not fabricated as a ghoul or fantasy monster. He is a real, living, demonic spirit. The bogeyman is pure nonsense.
Also, unlike the bogeyman, Satan was not "made up" to keep people in line. In fact, if adults are afraid of Satan, then they need to get their spiritual life in order or simply get their facts straight. Satan's job is not to scare, but to seduce people to sin by tempting them.

yes but it is not 'CUTE' when adults do it! Religion is an affront to the civilized world and long overdue for erradication. There is MORE than enough Buddhist living and philosophy to pick up the slack in a more POSITIVE way.

Satan is as real as God. You decide. If you don't believe in God, then no satan for you. If you believe in God, then satan must be real also.
