Amazon.com seems to always have the best deals, unless you can get a discount through your work or school.

Got the student edition from wally world (wal-Mart) for $139. I also have the professional edition on my computer at work, and there is no real difference between them for practicality's sake. Unless you are using it for taking a class, or are having to do the "guru" thing for work, I would suggest going that route. There is about a $400 difference in the costs of the two, with negligible practical differences. If there is a registration issue, register it to your neice or nephew at their elementary school. I registered mine to my daughter, who was in kindergarten when it was bought, lol.

eBay, as everyone says, is good. If you're near a computer fair, you often get great value there (usually a bit cheaper than eBay if it's a big fair). A bit geekier, and you have to travel; but I love it, and if you ask around at the fair you'll get good advice. Try http://www.britishcomputerfairs.com/

I'd say ebay.... make sure the box is unopened and hasn't been previously installed. also make sure you're dealing with someone who has a good rating, that way you know you're not going to be a victim of shadiness.....also get the insurance...just in case.
Good luck.

Go to Best Buy and get the student edition for 160. If you are not a student find someone who is and let them get it for you.
