Stress on native wildlife, and in some cases loss of species all together. Pet cats will hunt all day and go home to a nice meal, so they are very well taken care of and have an advantage over wildlife that have the struggle of survival. Some non-native birds will overpower native birds for food and nesting sites.

They could change the balance (between resources, prays and predators) of an ecosystem, as it happened in Australia when the first colonizers introduced such animals. Specially mice and cats, they multiplied outside control.
The same thing happened in New Zealand, where the new predators introduced caused the nearly total extinction of some fly-less birds.
