people are of all types, but personally, i think that your attitude is fantastic. no matter how people behave, you be you that's it. same with me, i never offend anyone. i take any issue happily because i know i have to do it to achieve something. negative things are part of life, but they must not take over your thoughts into complete distress.

I am also generally a happy person and I have a deep appreciation for anything or anyone that can make me laugh and I don't get offended by much, and I do agree those people need to smile more.

Some things oufght to be taken seriously and some not.
The dividing line will be a point of issue/ debate/ disagreement.
But, surely, humour that is INTENDED to offend or hurt is NOT funny.
If you had to deal with those who are undergoing genuine trauma as a result of unkind homour then, maybe, you would not feel it was only those who took life seriosly atb times who had issues.
Live and let live is one thing. But live and let suffer is another.

I agree with you completely! Life is way to short to be critical.
I think people are so humourless and judgemental because, in two simple phrases:
They are self-absorbed right gits or complete prats. Others are like a bloke I know of:
Older guy, not a mate by any means is going though some tough times. He refused Christmas dinner because his widdle feelings were all injured. At least that's what he told mummy. Honestly, last time I saw him, he was so wound up with himself it was a wonder he was walking at all.
Blood Hell. On top of it, his elderly parents (old enough to be gram and grandad to many of us) waited until the night AFTER Christmas for his Royal Heinousness to drag himself two blocks to their house so they could open prezzies.
May I never be as knackered and old in my mind as he, even if I live to be two hundred!
[Thankfully he has no children, his girl (partner) left him after 15 years and married one of his mates.]
Thanks for letting me rant. All I intended to do is point out the overall reasons some people lack humour, and I found a poster boi!

Hon, you're NOT doing anything wrong. Just be yourself, and to heck what other's are thinking. I bet you have a beautiful smile. I also have a lot of humour, and if people don't like it. Well, they can just be unhappy jerks. Life is too short not to laugh. ~~~

That is prolly just because when some people stand around smiling people get confused and they wonder if your laughing at them. Its not anything bad though and I say keep on a smiling!

perhaps because things they take serious are indeed serious.
we are all a sum total of our experiences.
you cant joke about ice where there is a person who had a loved one who died by hanging himself from a block of ice.
even for you, there are realms to which humour can ascend and it becomes too expensive.
think about it a little.

I have a hard time taking things seriously, people ask me why do i laugh so much. I think people in general need to chill out and try to enjoy things.
