i joined the navy and i am currently in DEPS and the rate that i chose was IS however i dont know weather or not its a job suited to me or not is it mostly a desk job or what should i expect for a school an after bieng shipped out

u can alwasy swich u rate after been 2 years in u rate, but u rate gonna be dead lock and very hard to swtich cause u rate isn't overmanning, and cost navy some good money to get u in for school, and good enlisted bonus either i saying don't expect nav y able to swich u rate if u don;t like unless after 5 or 6 yeas when u contract is about to be ended. yes u rate is heavy desk job but can be a challege one, but u guys enlsited bonus and srb are sky rockign compare to most navy rates, is good rate if u wanan puriose to be cop, fbi, cia after navy carrer. also they usualyl grande u top secret clearence.

The IS's on our ship were stationed on shore, but traveled with us every time we left the Japanese vacinity. They worked awesome hours, but worked hard (at least I think) while they were working. It's a great job, lots of secret info coming back and forth that you can't share with many people. Have fun!!
