is the goal of islam to really take over the world? sure, its peaceful TO MUSLIMS, and sure it brings peace IF EVERYONE IS MUSLIM. but what about the jizya tax that they must impose on non-muslims to make the feel "subdued"? and what about all those verses talking about killing infidels? why are there so many islamic terror organisations? how many christian, jewish, hindu, and buddhist terror organisations were there, and how many people belonged to them? al-qaida itself probably has more members than all of those non-muslims groups put together, including even the now non-existent IRA (they surrendured). sure christians and jews did things, but that wasnt what their religion taught. when a muslim says islam is peaceful, he/she probably doesnt know his/her own religion.

Better check that again. No it is not. Ever watched the news. Muslims are killing each others in Iraq. Sunni don't consider the Shiites as true Muslims, and an Imam in Saudi just declared them as infidels.

1. Jizya tax is imposed on non-Muslims just as the zakat is on Muslims. They are 2 taxes for both religions so they should even out, right?? Nowadays there is no Jizya though, as it is inconvenient and lots of Islamic countries are corrupt. Fair enough?
2. Killing infidels...*YAWN* We ONLY fight in self defense, never initiating the first attack. All of God's humanity are holy creatures that only Allah can take life and give life, not us (unless it is as punishment for murder etc.) The QUran says "Fight those who fight against you..but do not transgress limits..verily, Allah does not love the trangressors." and to "not break peace treaties (with those who don't plan to attack us we must live peacefully).
3. Crusades=thousand of dead Muslims and Jews in the name of Christianity. Hitler=6 million Jews killed lead by a "devout" Christian. Oklahoma bombings=another Christian. Pro-life people attacking abortion clinics=Christians! :-O Did you forget those???

5. Women in Islam held the highest and most elevated status during Islam and were given rights that weren't even recognized in the Western world until the 18th-19th century. WOmen had/have a right to knowledge, property, inheritance, employment, army positions, pick and choose their spouses, divorce, withhold from household duties if desired, and specify regulations in their marriage contract. NEVER in Islam was woman's soul the topic of controversy as to whether or not she even had one! (Christianity). SO before you go spouting off hate I suggest you educate yourself; you INSTIGATING, hate-spreader...I've never advocated and what you are doing is almost as bad; attacking a peaceful religion.

I know nothing about Islam but I do know of a little thing called the Spanish Inquisition that tortured and killed any Christian or non-Christian that did not submit to the leaders of their Inquisition, ever hear of anything called the Smithfield Fires in the UK? People were burned to death if they didn't convert. Ever hear of a queen called "Bloody Mary"? In the USA there is a group called the KKK. In Europe during the height of the Anabaptist movement (re-baptizers) people who believed in adult baptism were drowned as a punishment, These groups came to America and are the present day Amish, so we may not have called these group "terrorist" groups as we do today, but terrorize they did, at least try to be fair

We are not intersted in taking over the world...But just want to live a peaceful life in our own places but thanx to your America and UK who are constantly poking nose in our countries...Jizya is just like a text, it is called tax for muslims and jizya for non-muslims(Btw it was for old ages) as if muslims were taking jizya from them, they were also reposible for their protection and rest of the responsibilites.jaziya served the same purpose as taxes serve in this age...

If islamic governments use the rules in wrong ways, it is not fair to judge islam for results.
Islam is the religion of "choice". God ask you to search and never accept anything you are not believe in. Islam says "go for truth" and help you feel free to challenge into believes and foundamentals.
Imam Hosein, one of the ancient mental leaders of Islam says: "Never mind if you are not even religious, Be a free man."

Islams' goal is no different than ours. To spread the word, to worship one being and do his, hers, or its bidding. Be kind to thy neighbor and welcome strangers. What you hear and see are only certain individuals or groups of individuals interpretations of what suits them or there cause. Find a genuine translation of an original Qaran and you will find that peace, beauty and harmony lay within the heart of those teachings. Don't judge what you don't know.
