Could be a tumor that is benign. Just had a three month old Boxer pup to the vet for her shots and the vet found one on the inside of her back leg. The vet said she sees them on pups around 5 months of age and they usually fall off on their own. I was told if it didn't fall off before we have her spayed to have it taken off then. The vet did take a needle and expunged some fluid and checked it under a microscope and said it was not cancerous. I would have it looked just to be on the safe side. Good luck and Happy New Year.

my puppy, had a lump too, and turned out it was just a hair pustule he gave her some meds, and its drying out. So definately take the pups to the vet and get him/her checked out. thats the only way you can really find out.

where is the lump? my dog had something like this and the vet said it was a herniated umbilical cord. they did not cut the umbilical cord properly. she had to have it fixed because they said it would be as problem as she got older.

If you truly love your puppy, then take it to see the vet as soon as possible. I just lost my dog from a stomach tumor three months ago. You do not want to second guess yourself.

It's likely a hernia. Why not ask the breeder or the vet when he goes for his next shots.

if it's on the stomach in the gut area it is probably a hernia. take her to the vet and have it taken care of.

It is probably an umbilical hernia. You should have it checked by your vet.

Umbilical hernia is not uncommon. Leave it alone.
