i need this for a magic trick i wish to perfom

Heres an easy one to be doing:
You get on stage, go blah blah... while you have people in some special overall or in uniforms working in the back setting up something.
Can be a crate, a closet like thing or anything else that takes time to set up.
That thing they set up has a back escape, covering you from sight.
You get in there, dress up like those people doing the final preparations, slip out the back and you just leave the stage with that crew.
Works all the time...nobody ever counts the staff members working in the background.

Did you really expect a straight answer? Pro magicians pay big bucks for illusion secrets, and you won't really get a good one from a free answers forum! There's lots of methods to every trick or illusion. Check out some of the magic forums and discussion groups for several of the simpler versions. Trap doors and smoke are fine, if you know how to use them to your advantage. But they're just a small part of it. Do you think David Blaine drops down a sewer hole on the Vegas street? Those are big-money illusions that are used. Sorry I can't say more here, any more than I could tell you how to cut and restore a rope. Check out the Magic Castle, for starters.

Great. You revealed a trick that looks great and many magicians use, but there is nothing in there about performance, about making the trick make sense, how to do a good double lift, etc. Teaching the mechanics alone is not teaching magic, any more than teaching a person how to pose on stage is acting.

This'll really work. Take a one pint glass of nitroglycerin, drink the contents then take a medium to small hammer(after all you don't want to injure yourself) and whack yourself over the head. You will vanish instantly in a cloud of pinky coloured smoke. Trouble is, spectacular as this is for some reason you can only perform this once.

- smoke, mirrors, flashes of light and bangs
should work a treat
are you going to saw anyone (girl) in half?

The real way to be vanish is.. get you body's refractive indez of light equal to the refractive index of light in the air.
And no one can see u in air anymore...

meditate an incredible amount. then you'll be able to alter your frequency at will. once you raise it high enough you become "non physical" and, thus, will disappear. when you wish to return, just lower it appropriately. it's really that simple ;-)
