I'm 13 years old, 5"3 tall, and I weigh 155 lbs. I heard the ideal weight for someone of my age and height is 110 lbs. Is this true? I'd love to have that bikini body by June, but I'd have to lose about 6-7 lbs. a month. I've tried Pilates, but it didn't help, along with the fact that I'm only a teenager and the program is designed for adults. I don't have any money for a membership to a gym or exercise equipment. My mom won't take me to the doctor because she says I won't listen to him. I've been gaining at least 1 pounds every month, I need help!!!

okay first thing first! Those height weight charts are crazy! 110 pounds would make you look anorexia. Also if you have anything but a slim body type you will not be able to get down to 110 unless you become anorexia or start vomiting (DON'T DO THAT!) Weight Watchers has a thing for teenagers and I know I lost twenty pounds with it when I was sixteen or seventeen.
The best way to loose weight if you don't do programs is to decrease snacks (if you limit sugar and salty snacks your diet may not work) . Limit meals to 4 to 6 ounces of meat and quarter to a half cup of starch. (potatoes, pasta, bread etc.) Increase Greens ( Veggie and fruits) Decrease soda! Each glass of soda is like eating 2+ full size candy bars. Increase water 8-10 glasses of water a day. (Major help) But remember the first week you may gain weight from the water.
The most important thing is not to be upset with yourself or your weight. Remember that Models are air brushed and if you could talk to them they would say that they have things about them they don't like. A healthy weight is about 120 to 130 for someone with an average frame or someone WHO IS big boned. Excessive but not to exhaustion and don't listen to the stuff on tv about weight loss pills because they aren't good for your body.
Look I have struggled with my weight since I was sixteen and I know what it's like to feel being heavy. Just be careful how much you do and start slow on the Excessive.
Good luck keep in contact if you want. Bye.

Try eating less and excercising more. If you are just sitting around the house try getting up and moving. Just go for a walk around the block to start then go a little further each time. Drink a glass of water before you eat; it will make you feel full faster so you won't eat so much. There is no quick scheme to losing weight. It's just a matter of you wanting to lose it and really working at it.

Don't cut down your intake of food by too much. You can seperate proteins and starches(Don't mix meat with potatoes, or rice. Meat and veggies, or starch and veggies). Walk walk and walk. You don't need fancy equipment. Go for walks around the block. When you are feeling more up to it, job around the block. At this age, you need the nutrients to aid in your growing body. Cut out junk food completely, it's not good for you. Chocolates here and there, that is fine, but don't make a meal out of hamburgers. If you need to snack, snack on fruits and veggies. Also, drink lots of water.
