I agree with kramersco, alot of things you see on tv are the fishing pro's doing their jobs, although their are alot of pros that won't do them type of shows their are plenty that would, it's all about the mighty dollar. If you want a decent rod that is not that expensive go to bass pro shops or cabella's. You can get a pretty decent rod from bass pro shops for $30 called a tourney special, When I started fishing I had one that worked to feel the meally bite of the small mouth on Lake Erie, In time I have upgraded to the extreme rods, they are only $100. good luck and have fun fishing.

well, you could go on ebay, you can get them new a lot cheaper, but i must say, they suck! they break so easily, and and it does the same thing as a regular fishing pole, except it launches itself 30 feet which is nothing, you need at least 50. also to fish good, you need different fishing lures, and sizes and that doesn't work.
if you want to catch fish you definitely don't want one of these. The pro fisherman that says its awesome, actually is a good fisherman, its just he doesn't make that much money at all, and for what he was offered to say that he couldn't resist.
Just get a regular fishing pole! and trust me this is coming from a guy who fished almost every day for 4 years, and even went to a fishing school but if you want one, ebay.com
