I dont have any butter but i still want to make some butter cookies will it still work

You can make them with margarine, but they may not have the rich taste of butter. You might consider using a little butter flavoring, to enrich the flavor somewhat.

While they don't call them 'margarine cookies', margarine will work, but you'll be missing the great buttery taste!

it is better with butter. but they will still be good.
