Hindus believe in One supreme God who can exist in many forms. Aren't they consider to be polytheists? If we apply the same logic then Christians are polytheists also.

because Allah/god is one and only one , you can not say he is a one god but divided to another . the trinity never mention in the old statement and it will be never true .
Christians worship a prophet of the god , refer every thing to him as a god ,also they think that he can forgives sins or answer the prayers .
there was many prophets,angles,holy books,...etc BUT there IS only one living god and never die.

Polytheists because they believe in the trinity and that Jesus is God.There is only one God and that is God.

monotheism is the belief that there is only one God. Christians give Jesus (pbuh) the status of God often so i dont understand how it is monotheism.
but i am not entirely clear on whether they believe Jesus (pbuh) to be the son of God or God himself. either way they are giving Jesus (pbuh) divine status.
