My doctor said the body never produces gas that is released from the mouth -- that burps are always from swallowed air, that's IT. True?

no way- why do you burp after you drink soda? It's the carbonation.

Burps can come from swallowed air or the expansion of carbon dioxide inside the stomach when you drink a carbonated beverage.

That's what I always thought....but if you hold in a fart long enough...who knows. Did anyone ever tell you that your breath smells like a$$?
