I'm turning 21 in three months and I've heard that you can't buy alcohol until the day after your birthday, that you can't get into a 21+ club until the day after, but you can get into a bar on the day of your birthday. I'm so confused!! Does anyone know for sure what the limitations are on this? Or at least where I might be able to find this information??

I don't know about Texas, but in law, you actually turn 21 a day before your birthday, because you can never be 0 days old.

I've tended bar in Boston, Cleveland, Memphis, Denver, and Telluride...(as well as small towns and cities in-between). So far, policy has dictated that if you're 21 (or within hours range of that magical age), you'll be legally served.
I've had many, many soon-to-be 21 yr. olds (again, within hours of turning 21) and have never refused service. Laws differ from state to state, but on average, a few hours makes no difference.
On the extreme legal side, if you turn 21 at 3:10 A.M., then you are legally entitled to imbibe in said establishments at 3:10 A.M., if they're open for business...

In texas you can go to a bar at 12:01 and get served, you can't however buy booze from a store b/c texas has certain hours in which they can sell alcohol, I do believe it is 9 pm - 8am for no sell hours. (unless u can get into a military post most of them can sell alcohol untill midnight) the reason you can't get into most 21+ clubs the night of your birthday is b/c it is harder for them to moniter weather you are drinking before midnight or not. and even a small infraction like you haveing a drink at 11pm can get them fined. here is a couple other little secrets about texas that I used so I could drink when I lived there. If you are married before you are 21 but your spouse is 21 or over you can legally drink at any establishment as long as your spouse is with you, has a copy of your marriage certificate, and has his or her blue drinking card. Also if your parents are with you and allow u to drink with them most places will also serve you. I wish you luck. and happy 21st

It has nothing to do with state law. As soon as you turn 21, you are legally allows to drink in all 50 states. There is no waiting period.

sure, technically. some Liquor shops and bars have guidelines saying they are going to really promote to someone the day after their birthday, considering they don't technically understand what time of day you've been born... yet those are few.
