I sent mine back after having them more than a year, i didn't even mention a warranty or anything to them. I didn't hear from them for a couple of days so i rang them and they just said my new ones were in the post!

So give it a go! I've had mine a couple of years now and they re not heating up as well anymore so I'm gonna send them back soon to try to get some new ones.

If you send them whether you have a guarantee or not they will do tests on them and see what the problem is and at the very worst they might charge you a small price to get them fixed but it'll Be less than having to buy new ones!!

Personally i think they will send you knew ones, my dad pointed out to me when mine broke that they pop them out of the factory machines so cheaply that it'll prob cost them more money to get someone to sit and try to fix your straighteners than it is to just give you a new one - so good luck!

Hundreds of these GHD's go back every month, I know I work at the post office. What people are advised to do is to send them back to the supplier 'Jemella' by special delivery it will cost about £5.70. They will get replaced. A few people ask the company for a prepaid special delivery envelope which they will supply for the return. Personally with the amount of returns they have I am suprised they havent rectified the fault.

Sorry, they only come with a year guarantee. Too late to get a refund but just for your information you would just go to the GHD website and send them to the address on there - you can but try and send them an e-mail but I don't think you'll get a refund. Sorry!
