I am not calling you frugal but $3.00 is a small price to pay to avoid listeria, tomaine or salmonella. Having said that, I did observe a cook the other day (Barefoot Contessa) use the marinade from the beef to make a sauce. If you are going to use it for anything it would need to be immediately and it needs to be cooked (boiled to a certain temp). Remember it had raw meat in it!

It really depends on the type of meat and marinade. Poultry should have a max of about 24 hours in the marinade. Any longer than that, and there will be no added benefit for the increased risk of salmonella. Also, remember to chill the marinade before introducing it to the poultry. If the marinade is warm, this can cause problems with giving bacteria a perfect place to breed. Beef and pork can go as long as 1-3 days. Much longer than that, and you risk the meat going bad. Ideally though, any marinade will have your mead flavored and ready within 2-12 hours. Also, consider a brine to keep meat moist, and then baste or dry rub before cooking.

The marinade should be discarded, unless food poisoning is also part of the menu. If you're worried about the cost try using less marinade, maybe add a little wine or meat broth made with soup base. Better safe then sorry.

No it can not. If you freeze it all you will be doing is freezing the bacteria that has formed from the meat soaking in it. That's why most recipes tell you to get rid of the marinade once you are done using it.

It is not reusable after the meat has come into contact with it, maybe you should ration it out more and just use what you are going to and save the rest, maybe freeze it until next time you marinade.

No. Raw meat contaminates the marinade. Is it worth saving $3. to get deathly sick? Throw it out.

If you already soaked the meat in it then get rid of it. If you have some left in the bottle then put it in the fridge and use it next time. Three bucks is a small price to pay to avoid food poisening.

No. It is not worth the $3.00. You can make yourself and anyone else you are cooking for very ill by re-using maridnade with meat juices in it.

No, it gets contaminated. With chicken recipies in particular you need to discard the marinade right away and you cant even cook with it! Try making your own marinades, it's less expensive and fun to discover your own flavors.

Sorry you can't reuse it you do have to toss it out. It's contaminated with blood and is a breeding ground for bacteria, using it again you risk cross contamination.
