How about Matthew where it says judge not lest ye be judged. This is what the verse is referring to.

The most obvious verse is Matthew 23:2-3
"The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do for they do not practice what they preach."
You might also browse throught the letter of James.

There are numerous such passages. Hypocrisy, particularly on the part of established religious authorities such as the pharisees and scribes, is a particular concern of Jesus' in the New Testament. In fact, Jesus, significantly, has absolutely zero comments on homosexuality, zero comments on abortion, but nearly 30 condemnations of religious intolerance, bigotry, and hypocrisy by religious leaders. Just something to think about.

One would be the metaphor of the cup... Mathew23:25-26
Another would be James 1:22-24
Another would be James 3:9-12
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deciving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

do unto others as you would have them do unto you
judge lest ye not be judged
It is not by faith alone that we are saved
King James James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
St joseph (aka Catholic) James 2:26 For just as a body without a spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.
I wish i had my notes - i'll see the others if i can find them.

(Ecclesiastes 12:13-14) Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
(Ecc 12:14) For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Thanks, RR
