you need to run your hand under cold water to stop the burning...milk will work because it will cool down the burn but it's a waste of milk when you can use water to do the same thing..milk also can put you more at risk for an infection...so run your hand under cold water and then dry it thoroughly..then bandage your hand to protect against further irritation or damage...if it's a second degree burn and blisters appear don't pop them..that can also lead to infection..make sure you keep the bandage dry and change it daily for the next few days..

Butter will help with the abrasion and burn. After that aloe vera is good for a soothing effect. Bandage it with Neosporin ointment and let it air at night as you sleep and bandage it during the day.

Cold milk will work, but cold water works almost just as well. A plaster of baking soda will work, too.

Cold water first. Don't use butter.

I put milk on sunburns; I don't know if it's true that the calcium helps with the pain or if it's just in my mind, but it works.
