I have a Catholic Problem? :(?

Hello, I was in a Catholic forum trying to explain to this lady who was once an SDA but departed the faith to become a Catholic..she seems very stubborn and I was wondering if anyone could help me show her the truth the right way. She seems to be reaching out seeking something, but mostly in a huge denial of the Sabbath etc.

I dunno if I should just give up on her or what, but I felt compelled to try my best to explain the Sabbath truth and Bible prophecies to her, but I do not feel I am doing a very good job as she is coming up with all sorts of excuses, like the date 538 A.D. is not the correct date of the 1260 day prophecy.

This is how she tried to explain 538 A.D. as a flawed date of the 1260 day prophecy:

There are many places I find flaws. One of them, the use of the year 538 a.d. for the 'establishment' of the papacy. Research it, and you will find the only groups seriously using that as a date for the establishment of the papacy are groups supporting Adventist views of prophecy interpretation. Among the many problems with the date:

It was not the year Code of Justinian was given.
It was not the first such proclamation or edict.
It changed nothing about the papacy not already established by earlier laws.

Your "Catholic" problem is that you do not accept Catholics as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Almost all important doctrine is completely agreed upon between Catholic Christians and other Christians.

There are many minor doctrine issues and some major cultural traditional differences which, I believe, do not matter that much.

A Catholic worships and follows Christ in the tradition of Catholicism which, among other things, recognizes that Christ made Peter the leader of His new Church and Pope Benedict XVI is Peter's direct successor.

Iin 1582 Pope Gregory XIII changed the calendar year and we are now 11 years ahead of schedule, none of these dates are accurate. We are really in the year 1995 right now.

Nobody knows the date and I would be a fool to claim that I do, only God knows this information anything else would be sheer speculation. However I believe I have found the exact day and time. All numbers add up… As they say do the math.

Friday the 13th being associated with bad luck. Jesus was crucified on a Friday and betrayed by the 13th Apostle.(Jesus an Apostle of God plus 12 equals 13 in total, Judas was the 13th)

Friday is the 6th day and 2/13 = 6 and since we now know 2009 is really 1998 = 666. Giving us a total of 66666

On February 13, 2009 - A celebration is expected as the Unix time number reaches 1234567890 seconds at 23:31:30 UTC. (Once in a lifetime occurrence!)

If we don’t count seconds, because the clock has not quite reached 23:32 and is still officially at 23:31 = 11:31pm = 6

That would mean when Unix time reaches 1234567890 seconds on Friday, February 13, 2009 (1998) at 11:31pm UTC = 666666 a total of six sixes.

We can find original text written in Greek, Latin as well as Hebrew. The Greek alphabet was assigned numerical values (The X gives the Z sound of Xylophone) X (=Chi) 600; Xi (shaped like a curled capital E) 60 and S (Sigma) 6. (Although Sigma is no longer used, it was) Thus 600, 60 and 6 spells XES, the Greek spelling for Zeus. It is very hard for her to give up her beliefs from SDA what she should have done is and I don't think she did is really study the Catholic doctines, she is still believing what she has been taught in The SDA and confusing the two. Give her time and don't push her as you could turn her away from the Church

maybe she just realizes things differently - that the teachings of many learned men over the years for centuries trumps that of Ms. White or she doesn't feelthat the Archangel Michael and Jesus are one in the same person.

I have a feeling she's leaving the SDA more over a "number" and more over a personal moral judgement.

Leave her alone when she's ready to switch or not she will. If people spent half the time focusing on their own troubles and behavior in life that they do in trying to "convert" people to their own religion, can you just IMAGINE what a wonderful world this would be? (cue the music)
