How can I eliminate the flicker when recording a computer screen w/ a camcorder?

I'm trying to record my computer screen but whenever I try, the end result has "lines" going down the screen. You can't even bare to look at the video.... I'm using a Sony Handycam model DCR-HC26.

Unfortunately, theres no (easy) solution. You could try changing shutter speeds, but I doubt any of them will work. The only way to fix this is to get a camera such as the GL2 that has the option of clear scan where you can set the frequency to match a monitor. Or you could get an LCD screen. These are your only options (unless you find a shutter speed that works). Hope this helps!
