I want to find Gerber's chicken or turkey baby food for less than $.85 a jar and I would prefer larger quantity than just the individual jars.

well if you aren't picky about the brand, I save the leftovers from what I make for myself and put it in a food processer then I freeze the leftovers in icecube trays. it becomes instantly smooth, babies love it, and it's free!

I totally agree with everyone else that making your own baby food is alot cheaper, but if you don't have time to do that. I found that BeechNut has printable coupons on their website, I think it was $3.00 off of 24 jars. Here in Oklahoma we have a discount food store called, Save-A-Lot which sells beech nut 3 for 99 cents and you can use coupons there! Which ended up being 24 big jars of baby food for $7.92 minus the $3 coupon brings the total to $4.92! (per jar that is 20 cents each!) If you have a Save-A-Lot near you, you should check it out! My daughter really liked the beechnut baby food especially in chicken & sweet potato.
Also, if you have a walmart near by, I noticed that they had GerberTurkey dinners on Clearance for 25 cents a jar. They didn't expire until next year. Good Luck!

Making it yourself is really easy and cheaper than buying processed ready meals. Make it in a big batch, put it in sterilised jars and freeze. Voila!

Actually making it yourself is cheaper than anything else. Buy good quality chicken/turkey breast, poach it, and when it's cool, liquify it with the poaching liquid then freeze it in small ready-to-eat portions. It is not that time consuming.
