Count your blessings you live in a free nation, and just nod your head, and roll your eyes when no-one is watching.

Ha ha...they sound so cute. Anyway, maybe you could try avoidance. I do that a lot in my family! Say something like "Grandpa, you are so good at politics. Have you ever thought about holding a political office?" Same works for granny! They could be useful in their neighborhoods as precinct committeemen, since that is mostly older people holding those offices. They work in their neighborhood and area for Republicans or Democrats, whichever they are. Obviously they are Republican. Maybe they'll get so excited and directed toward their goal, it will get them off of converting YOU! Ha ha, O'Reilly Factor for kids. Sick! *and I'm Republican...lol. Good luck!

I think that you should let your grandparents Know how you feel about being a republican. You need to let them Know that you appreciate their opinion but you would like the freedom to decide what you would like to support.

No one can force their opinion on you. Listen to them, nod your head and cast your vote who you want to. Whats the point of secret ballet? If they want more than that, say casting your vote against your will is all you can do, that too because you love them. This is a perfect case for white lie, warm their heart coz you do love them, dont you?

All I can tell you is to be up front and honest with them but do it nicely. If you don't agree with them then stick with you decision but hear them out. You don't have to go along with it or agree with them.
