Singapore is very much a budget traveler's paradise and offers lots of good and cheap hostels. There are also lots of exciting tourist attractions for you to visit.

Lee,s backpackers hostel.
Its a few years ago now.
its basic but clean with dorms or rooms.
its an old office block by the looks of it.

One thing to remeber is your rooms have locks but the lift is street access.
Maybe their is rooms on the reception level where the dorms are also.
You will love Singapore.Go to little india. also have a anight out in boat quay.Mud crabs are good to eat.
Singapore feels a good friendly city.
But as always traveling alone means theirs only you to look after yourself.
While the last thing you want to do is be on guard .And to meet new people.TRUST YOU INSTINCTS .stay safe. and have a great time.

Are you going to indonesia. if you need any help or advice contact me at

Have you ever stayed in a Hostel before? Trust me you don't want to if you haven't especially in Singapore? You'll be lucky if you don't have to share a bed with anyone.

I've traveled a lot too, and I have learned that when you are traveling, it takes a lot out of you. Spend the extra money and get a Hotel. It's worth it!

well, you can stay in robertson quay hotel since the rates there are relatively cheap and is located near clarke quay which has great night life and food. hangout @ mt. emily is also a good place to stay and is near little india where you can experience new culture. go to orchard road, bugis, harbourfront, chinatown, little india and kampung glam if you're ready for culture shock. food in singapore is always good so any eatery would be great =)

If you want a safe trip, no nightmares, contact a travel agent , avoid online travel sites (specially EXPEDIA) they are having really bad reputation. There are plenty of complaints you can read in Google : http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=expedia+complaints

The same for hotels.com: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=hotels.com+complaints
