The basic "loop-style" bumpers are the same and the light assemblies should interchange with few if any modifications. Older Mopar part interchangeability is pretty good. Once you remove the plastic light bar, you'll find a very deep, sealed backpanel. the only major issue would be mounting stud locations and wire grommet locations. If there is any difference, it could be fixed with a drill and some silicone.

I liked the 71 lights better as well... Much more aggressive looking.

It's possible but it would take a lot of work by a experienced sheet metal fabricator and would cost thousands. If you don't have the tools and experience or the funds to have it professionally done I would forget about it. Another thing to consider is that these cars in good original condition are going up in value every day if you modify it it may not be worth as much.

i would have to say yrs absolutly because between those two years they didnt really change that many of the mounting brackets but you could order some 71's that will be specialy made so you could put them right on but there shouldnt be that much of a difference

looks to me that it would work, looks like all you have to do is change the whole bumper unit, I can see why you would want to change it, that 71 is sharp.

Given enough time and money, and a well equipped shop, you can do anything.

If you mean can I unscrew one and screw in the other, is it easy?

No.
