Depends on the age.If they are older, try a pool party and sleepover or a party at the beach. If they are younger have a party at the park. Its cheap and simple. Parties at the house arnt bad either.

Why can't you just spend your money on your child and don't be cheap. Throw the best party your child ever had that they will remember for the rest of his/her life. So you won't do it any more.

At a park. Make a picnic lunch and bring some of those toys that are lying around, you can hide them and play a scavenger hunt. A frisbee is fun.

Depending on how cheap you want to go, I'd choose Chuck E. Cheese or Chik-Fil-A. My nephew loves their play area.

I don't know where you live, but in here in Tennessee, we have this place called "Playworld" its a lot like Chuck E. Cheese, but it's a LOT cheaper
