Amazing how the thoughtful atheists would support it. My brother and I are atheists and one of his daughters is Christian. Neither of us have ever been critical of her choice. She has had a lot of medical issues in her life and I can't blame her for being desperate. The fact she is mentally impaired also should be irrelevant.

My plan is to teach my children to think for themselves and come to their own conclusions.
If my child became a Christian, I'd be fine with that, so long as they were still a good person in the ways that matter to me: (be considerate, honest, compassionate, etc.).

I am a Secular Humanist (non-believer), and I have two sons. One of them is an Atheist, the other is a Christian. I love and respect them both, and mind my own business where their beliefs are concerned.

My husband and I are atheist's, our 14 year old daughter is a Christian. It was her choice and we respect that, the same way she respects our choice.

That's their choice, but then I would explain to them the truth about life after the christians came and established the first of MANY religious wars in the name of the god he/she mentioned just to let her know the evil that is in the world.

I respect your choice and will not try to change your mind. I expect the same from you, as I raised you to be tolerant and respectful to everyone.

I would support their decision, I would talk with them, I would still be their parent - the exact opposite as many christians live.

I would say okay. It's okay for children to believe in Jesus and Santa Claus. Later on as their education progresses they may change their outlook.

I would be disappointed, but love them just the same.
it really doesn't matter in the long run, we all die some day.
