churches mosques etc, not people's own homes. good answer though

Well, this site (http://www.americanchurchlists.com/ACL/index.aspx?bas_type=acl&bas_vendor=062250&bas_promotionid=0602RSA ) claims there are 375,000 churches, synagogues and temples in the US.
To break it up some, approximately: 42,000 Baptist; 19,000 Cath.; 11,000 Presb.; 12,000 Assembly of God; 4065 synagogues; 174 Hindu Temples; 94 Buddhist temples. Obviously there are a lot more, but exact numbers are very difficult to find.

in Texas ( the bible belt) I live on the buckle unfortunately, there are atleast 1 church on every street
