Yes.

Jesus said, "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:18-20)

The Catholic Church has been teaching world governments what it believes is right and wrong since the ancient Romans stopped persecuting it and long before anyone heard of the freedom of speech.

The Catholic Church protested about the blood sports in the Roman Colosseum and they were stopped.

I don't think the Church is going to (or should) stop teaching the world governments what is right or wrong now.

With love in Christ.

As long as politics involves itself with moral issues, the church will be involved in political issues. Like it or not, there never was and never will be a seperation of church and state. They a forever intertwined. BTW Seperation of church and state is NOT in the constitution.

No. They are morally clear and quite good on personal and social issues (i.e. abortion, marriage, sex, etc.). But when it comes to war and terrorism and Israel the Church is ridiculous. It is hard to take them seriously on abortion, though, when they spend so much time equating the democratic and free Israel with the terrorists from Hamas.

Full disclosure: I am a staunch Protestant.

If they have to do with something that the Church believes is a moral evil (ie Abortion, ect...). If the Church sees it as something that they should stop, then they have a moral obligation to do it.

Now, if you refer to the next president or the succession of kings, then...no.

It does, whether or not that's proper. What is improper is for the church to claim immunity for its dabbling in politics and economics. Churches which do that should lose all immunity from taxation.

It has since its inception. You could not get throned as king without the church behind you. The pope supported Hitler in the second world war. It goes on and on.
