hello, theres a nice boy my age that likes me. we've danced together, and gone to a movie together. I only like him as a friend, not as my bf. Although he feels more for me, and wants me to be his gf. He has never told me that but i can sense it. Hes really a sweet guy and i dont want to make him sad. However i like another guy on a more advanced base, so i should really tell my friend i dont want to be his gf. But I am pretty shy, and dont know how to say it, without making him disapointed. Has anyone been in this situation? do you have any advice?

Well, i think you just should tell him straight, Like dont play games with him , if you tell him the truth , he wont get as hurt as if some one else tells him, So just tell him and but make sure your still his friend, I mean if he knows you dont like him, then he still will be ok, so just tell him and if you are shy, write a note and tell him you are a sweet guy, but i am into some one else. Just say it straight , by doing so you are helping him from geting more hurt, So just tell him :) GOOD LUCK

I guess the first thing would be to ask your age so i can truly see what you are going through. With more age we seem to make wiser decisions. The first thing to get out of your mind is that you are not married. You have no serious obligation to anyone. You sound young, I would like to encourage you to present this to the guy that likes you and explain to him that you are not married and would like to continue his friendship. Then continue in your relationship and follow your heart in the other relationship. As long as you are not engaging in sexual activity I feel you are playing it safe.

I have been in that situation, DO NOT LEAD your friend on, you don't need to tell him I don't wanna be your gf, but hang out qith him and more friends, not just the two of us, talk about the guy you likem don't let him thing you guys could date.

Just tell him he's one of your best friends, maybe the friendship will last, good friends are hard to come by.

i know exactly what you're talking about. i have a lot of guy friends and i know they like me as a gf but i just like them as friends. my advice would be to ask out the guy you like and your friend would eventually find out and mabye that would be easier than telling him that you dont like him as a bf. or find out what other girls he likes, or what girls like him, and try to hook him up with one of them, that way you wont have to worry about him asking you out. good luck!
