Right at first ...No. It will eventually help in reducing the insurgency to a degree. If you remember at the close of WW2 in Germany, The German people were somewhat relieved at the demise of Adolf Hitler when he committed suicide. Adolf knew he would have faced the same fate that eventually saddam faced. The majority of the German people feared Adolf Hitler as the Iraqis feared Saddam. Now that Saddam is dead, the Iraqi people can breath a sigh of relief knowing that they will never again have to face the tyranny from Saddam or his regime ever again. That is a huge victory in the war against terror as was the death of Al Zacarwe. The war on terror is going to be a slow process as was WW2. There are those who say that this is WW3...could be....but this fight is a global fight, its not just in Iraq or Afghanistan, its in Africa, the US, the UK and in hundreds of other countries around the world. It just comes in a different wrapper where its located.

You must be kidding....right? Iraq has been fighting itself and every neighboring country, off and on, for the past 5000 years.
Hanging Saddam will not make a difference in the war anymore than our (USA) presence there will. If the Garden of Eden was located in Iraq as many believe, the very first act of violence, when Cain killed Abel, occurred there and has not stopped since.

Dec seventy 9..u.s. invades Afghanistan. summer season 1980 Iraq assaults Iran. the u . s . a . helped Iraq as a ability of having back at Iran. yet we actually did no longer desire Iraq to win the two so we secretly helped Iran.
