I had my blood work done 4 days ago. My doctor is checking if I have mono or lymes. He sent me to the hospital to get it done 4 days ago and I still haven't got the results back when he said I should have gotten them in a day or two. I tried calling his office, but it was closed yesterday. When should my results have come back?

It usually runs an average of 5 days to complete blood work for what your going to get tested for. If you didn't have anything wrong with you and was just doing a random test it could take up to 2 weeks. But the beginning of next week he will have the results since he's not probley open on the weekend.

SInce now there is a national holiday on Tuesday, I would think Wednesday they should come back I do not see why, if your doctor had said so, they did not come back yet, but typically it takes about a week, I also recently had to get tested for mono.

Don't forget the holidays. Plus, Bush just declared Tuesday a national day of mourning for G. Ford. So the lab rats may take that as meaning...whoa, slow down there pardner, we're gonna work ourselves plum out of a job!

Typically, blood work takes about a week. If the lab noticed anything unusual, they would have contacted your doctor immediately. Chances are, since you haven't heard back yet, there's nothing to worry about.
Plus, it's a holiday weekend. You'll have to wait until Tuesday.

If you had something they would have called you and told you right away. You can actually just go to the doctors or hospital and ask for it that's what i do cause when i call they put me on hold and tell me that they will call m back but...they never do. I would just drive down there and ask for it.

You should call the lab that you were tested at.
