I would like to get married just before sunset on a beach. The groom wears the top half of a tuxedo with swimming trunks and no shoes. The bride wear a short gown with her bathing suit underneath and no shoes. The path which the bride walks to meet her groom would be lit by torches. No chairs, the guests would be seated on the sandy beach. Instead of the traditional words a preacher might say he would simply ask the bride "Do you take this man as your husband"? The bride would then say yes and recite her own written vows. The groom would then be asked, Do you take this woman as your wife"? he would also say I do and recite his own written vows. After the vows are said, they would each take a handful of sand and let it sift thru their fingers mixing together and say in unison, "Just as the grains of sand can not be numbered neither shall our days of love, joy and happiness." Then they are pronounced husband and wife. A long kiss. Then all the women stand on the beach where the gentle waves caress their feet as the bride throws her bouquet of flowers. The guest would then remain for a beach feast of crab legs and lobster tails as the bride and groom walk away from them and into the sunset.

I had my perfect wedding.

Where I lived, there was a local duck pond that had a gazebo. I always wanted to get married there. Something simple and small. Then for the reception, it would be at someone's house. BBQ brisket, and other comfort foods. Then we'd go swimming in the pool.

It was perfect, and everyone loved it. They told me "Well, it wasn't a traditional celebration, but it was better." It really helped make people feel comfortable. The dress code was casual, and we kept it from being formal. We wanted it to suit us, as we are young and simple. We had bread available to feed the ducks, after the ceremony too.

I didn't want to spend hundreds upon hundreds of money, for a short ceremony. The ceremony isn't what's important anyways, it's the fact that you're marrying the person you are in love with, and keeping things simple, helps you focus on that.

On a white sand beach with bluish green waters. In a chapel located there. Friends and family spend like 2 nights and 3 days there with all the festivities, bonfires, games, buffet and band.

I have always wanted mine to be on some type of island. But my perfect wedding would be at the Barbados getting married right next to the ocean.

Take a limo to a ferry where the actual wedding would take place. Once the ferry docks...the newlyweds would take a horse and carriage to their honeymoon location....which should be close, obviously.
