Actually, the idea for Daylight Savings came from Benjamin Franklin.

Daylight Saving Time was first implemented during World War I and again in World War II to conserve energy. Germany was the first nation to adopt daylight time during the First World War in 1915. Britain, parts of Europe, Canada and the United States quickly followed suit.

It may be that Franklin is credited with the idea as a joke to the French, but it did not really apply in the US until 1918 when it was activated under pressure of our WWI allies. It was repealed after one year and was not activated again until during WWII as part of the war effort. I think they should just split the difference and leave it alone.

it was the man who was riding his bike in a wood in kent and he thought about how people wasted daytime with bedtimes etc and stuff and he went to the government etc idea got rejected went back again blah blah eventually got accepted and we might change daylight saving soon but im not sure what to
it was in an assembly which is why its full of blah blahs and etc because i cant remember the whole story but thats the basic out line = ]

You could argue that it may have been inspired by God, but Ben Franklin gets the credit for the idea
