come on man!! DO you realize what kind of world we live in these days?
I think most guys if just walking up to a women they just met and asked for their email they can expect to either be told to get the f--- out of her face or looked at like a complete creep and walked away from.
In this day and age a women would prefer to know you at least a few hours before deciding to give any guy her email.
And for some a date would require a background check and 5 references!

I would say no. You can not just ask a woman for her email address without striking up a conversation first. Depending on how well that converstation goes, the guy must then decide whether the girl might be interested. Even if the conversation appears to go well, there is still a good chance of rejection, but so what? Chances are you'll never see this person again. It should be pretty easy to tell if the girl is willing to talk to a complete stranger. For the girl, this is where chemistry/attraction comes into play. If she seems uncomfortable, then leave her alone and go your separate ways.

Male and I have never done this. Guess I'm old fashioned and I ask for their phone numbers when I was single. Seems a lot more interpersonal then writing to people and not hearing their responses.

If a random person asked for my email address, I would politely tell them ''no''.

I prefer to get to know someone before giving them any contact information.

Ask them why they wanted it in the first place, and this is a stranger, so my response would be a polite no, I do not give my private information to someone I do not know.

..if a man asked me for my email...i probably would laugh out loud.....thinking he is too afraid to ask for my phone number, hence, he would be wasting my time....
