I saw this movie on PBS two years ago. It's this couple with a painting of themselves when they were in their 20s. Everyone around them grew older and gray and they remained the age they were in the painting. When something happens to the painting it happens to them. I think they kept the painting in the attic and in the end the painting gets destroyed and they instantly became old. Thanks.

I have just been told by by husband that ther e was a film with Sean Connery and Charlotte Rampling with this theme .. if you look up either of these actors you should find it .
I have to say that The picture of Dorian Grey must be a much superior film !!!

I think you must be thinking of the film of the book 'The picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde. It is in fact only Dorian who gives his soul to keep his looks . He looks at the portrait which is just finished and makes this wish so each time he commits a wicked deed instead of it showing on his face it shows on the portrait and etc. It is a wonderful book and also a wonderful film with George Sanders and a very young Angela Lansbury .

I never heard of the movie. However, it does sound like a variation on the classic: The Picture of Dorian Gray (Grey?) You can probably download it as an e-book from the Gutenberg Project for free. This book has been made into a movie many times. It is the same story line you mention, but only Dorian is in the picture.
